Alliance Program

The principles of collaboration applied to Precarn's own operations. To ease access for small companies to the benefits of its funding, services and national network, Precarn worked with like-minded organizations across Canada. Regional alliances respond to opportunities in diverse communities. Domain-based alliances promote the application of intelligent technology solutions in sectors of priority interest.  Precarn also looked for opportunities to pool resources with other organizations to assemble targeted suites of strategic projects. Precarn cooperateed with 4th Pillar organizations, national associations and other organizations to share knowledge and resources, and improve service to clients.

Precarn's Alliance Program was aimed to foster the development of intelligent systems technologies in small and medium sized companies across Canada. Under the Alliance Program, Precarn partnered with a regional organization to help fund R & D projects. The Alliance Program was an important means of extending Precarn's reach into all regions of Canada.

The Alliance Program was an initiative of matching funds with regional or domain-based research organizations across the country. There was no limit to project size, but participating companies had to contribute at least 25% of the total cost. Precarn contributed a maximum of 37.5%, or up to $200,000 per project. The Alliance partner's contribution was to be equal to or greater than Precarn's.
